  Is There Life On Mars?

  no, i'm not talking about the david bowie song, i'm asking does life exist on mars?.

  opportunity rover (the one before the present one) took photos of strange, puffball-like sphericals seemingly sprouting on the martian surface.. these photos aren't conclusive evidence but it is an exciting area to investigate.. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-9546225/scientists-claim-evidence-fungi-red-planet.html .

  LoveUniHateExams, spherical objects can have inorganic origins. A metor crash can easily raise temperatures to the melting point of silica, and the molten blobs can harden into spheres if they spend enough time in the atmosphere. Until we collect some of those spheres and examine them, we cannot know how they formed.

  Personally, I believe that as we extend our exploration of the solar system we will find that any planet or moon with liquid water we will find life. Even on Pluto, with its suspected water and obvious reddish-brown "tholins".

  i used to post on h2o as well.

  i think i once posted some of this on h2o, but there are many new ones who have joined since then.. i first encountered jw's at the age of 9. it wasn't in the door-to-door work, however.

  Franz & Co. made a prediction that the end would come in 1972, but it was carefully concealed under a page of arithmetic, so almost NO JWs latched on to it. This was in a WTB&TS book whose title I can't recall right now.

  well judging from past prophetic pronouncements....go figure.

  "surely there is not the slightest room for doubt in the mind of a truly consecrated child of god that the lord jesus is present and has been since 1874;…" watchtower 1924 jan 1 p.5).

  "the prophecy of the bible, fully supported by the physical facts in fulfillment thereof, shows that the second coming of christ dates from the fall of the year 1914.

  Around 1965 I spent about a year in the Lexington KY area because of another of my mother's foolish decisions. The congregation we associated with was ruled by (if I recall the named correctly) the Gregory patriarchy. Is it possible, Mum, that you met my mother and her three terrible children?

  Have JW `s ever faced the topic of Jesus having inherited Adamic sin ?

  according to the bible all humans male and female have inherited sin because of adam and eve`s disobedience to god .. god may have impregnated mary with a life force , however it was still sinful mary who gave birth to jesus after nine months in her body who is /was supposedly without sin ?.

  mary must have passed on some of her sinful state to jesus having been in her womb for the past nine months , surely.

  and there is nothing in the bible / scripture to say otherwise ?.

  I agree with Fisherman's and the old JW premise. Unlike Jewishness, which is matriarchal, Sin appears to be Patriarchal.

  Jesus according to the legend, had to be a Jew. Thus he had to be born of a Jewish mother.

  IF, as the legend tells us, Jesus was Perfect, it must have been because he did not inherit imperfection from his Mother or his father. Since Jesus' mother was a human female with inherited sin, Jesus' father must have been the source of his Perfection.

  AMEN, BROTHER! I would only say that innumeracy is a BIG part of why people stay poor. I started out poor (welfare family in NYC and Ky), broken home (thanks to The Tower) and a semi-literate mother who thought that education wasn't important. Fortunately I took ECON 101 as an elective in High School.

  I worked hard, saved money, invested and today I am worth more than a Big Mac (at McDonald's).

  I have two idiot brothers that still attend Watchtower indoctrinations. One live alone in government housing, the other gives his time and his mind to the cult. He's an "elder" maybe soon one of the new "circuit servants" (positions will be filling soon, get your résumés in soon!

  can i ask please especially for all who are pomo?.

  we've taken a decision similar to revelation 18:4 to get out of the watchtower and not share in its sins.. how many of you still believe that god will one day terminate the world's many systems by means of an armageddon?.
